Handwashing is one of the best ways to protect yourself!
October 31, 2018
2018 is flying by! Halloween marks the end of October and feels like the unofficial beginning of winter, especially with the chilly temperatures we have been having.
As a family tradition, the older siblings always take the younger siblings trick or treating. After they get back home, the older siblings “inspect” the candy to see what they want out of the batch. Once the older kids get their pick, dad gets his share of the goods. At the end of all the “inspecting”, the younger siblings get to take the rest of the candy.
The little girls (Daisy and Rosey) are going as characters from Grease and baby RJ is going to be a giraffe. Meysha has decided to go as a vampire, which was Jaklyn’s favorite costume growing up. Unfortunately for Jaky, it’s looking like Dawson is going as “unborn” so, she has decided on going as the famous April the giraffe.
Rachyl, Izek and some of their friends celebrated last Friday by attending a harvest celebration at Faith Family Church. Although not an alternative for Halloween, there were many fall activities and decorations while they joined fellow church friends for a few hours.
While our farm is not open to the public, we encourage you to go visit one of the many small farms in Rhode Island who offer Halloween and fall-related activities such a petting zoos, corn mazes, pumpkin picking, hayrides, and more!
Check out our social media for pictures of our costumes and be sure to tag us so we can see yours. Happy Halloween!
