Daisy was born on the afternoon of August 18, 2016. She weighed 6 pounds and 9 ounces and was 19 inches long. Despite of a high-risk pregnancy and a difficult labor and delivery and having the cord wrapped around her neck, Daisy was absolutely beautiful. Her father was the first on to hold her, a moment he will never forget.
Daisy is the first child for Jaklyn and Derek. Derek was POSITIVE she was going to be a boy. They picked the name Daisy because she would share the first initial with Derek and her middle and last name are very masculine, so Daisy balanced them out.
Jaklyn and Derek can't imagine their lives without her! In the future, Daisy will be joined by siblings - both biological and foster.
Daisy's favorite soap is Pure & Simple (unscented with oatmeal) which is the gentlest and best for baby skin! She loves to "help" in the soap room by climbing the ladder to access higher shelves for "quality control". She also enjoys spending time modeling for Rachyl's Goat Milk Soap products, attending farmers' markets, and playing on the farm.
