ReUse, RePurpose, ReCycle

This year Earth Day is next Wednesday, April 22, 2020.
One positive change for our environment with everyone staying home is the drastic decrease in pollution and increase in wildlife sightings! All over the world, news outlets and social media are reporting clearer skies and waters, and sharing images of wildlife venturing out into quiet green spaces normally occupied by people. While this quieter way of life is temporary, these changes for our environment don’t have to be! We can all do our part to make a small difference in how we care for our environment and the wildlife that depends on it. Think about what items you can reuse, repurpose or recycle, choose sustainable and local when you can, support farmers markets and small businesses, remember to leave green space the way you found it, choose alternative transportation or carpooling when possible - the list goes on! These small changes made collectively by more and more of us have the potential to make a BIG difference!
While we as a family are blessed to spend most of our time together, we know that this isn’t the normal for everyone else. We challenge everyone to make a difference as a family this Earth Day! Take a few minutes to sit with your household and think of one small way you can make a difference on Earth Day 2020. Maybe it’s cleaning up your yard, learning more about what items can be recycled, or donating to a local environmental organization. We want to hear what you and your family are doing! Comment below or on our social media pages!
